The Columbia Cartel was founded in 2008 by former high school football players and teammates Eric vonNordeck and Tony Chan.

Tony is in charge of much of the front office work and was appointed General Manager/Owner and also contributes on the field as Defensive Coordinator. Eric is the starting quarterback and calls his own plays as Offensive Coordinator. In addition, he is the Team Scout in charge of bringing in new talent.

The Cartel plays in the MDFlagFootball.com league, a competitive men’s flag football league in Maryland. The Cartel started out in the league’s 5-man division and will move to the 8-man league in the Spring 2009 season.
