Hey guys,

Thank all of you guys who came out to the game last Sunday.   From what I’m hearing we didn’t have half the team there but those that showed up came to play.  Sorry again I could not be there.  I was in Kentucky.  My brother made it to NCAA National Championship in both Long and High Jump though :).

Anyway,  as I hope all of you know we have our final tournament coming up this Sunday.  This is where teams earn the respect from other teams for the upcoming seasons.  We finished the season 2-6 and though that isn’t a great record…when I look back at the games and think about it it would have been just as easy to be 6-2.  Small things as a new team are expected.  These are small growing pains.  Few first year teams end up with better records and if you look at the standings, we played some of the better teams this league has to offer.  I know we can step it up this week at the tournament and show this league where we belong…minimal top three if not the top of the list.

With that being said we need to get everybody ready to go this week.  We are gonna be holding practice tomorrow evening.  We realize that not everyone can make it.  But it is not optional.  If you can’t go that is one thing but we are coming to play this week.  We will have practice at — 6:00 — at our normal field at Catonsville High School.  RESPOND TO THIS POST if you can or cannot make it.  And leave a reason if you can’t.  This way everyone knows what to expect.  And if you say you are gonna be there….be there.  If something comes up call us.

So let us know about tomorrow evening.

As far as this weekend.  We will have the details of the tourney on Wednesday.  Saturday practice is absolutely mandatory guys.  This is what you paid your money for.  So let’s get our full team together and get it done this week.

Last weekend’s practice was kind of a bust.  We had 5 people show up.  I know a lot of you had stuff to do and said you couldn’t make it on Sunday.  Its no big deal we just have to pick up our phones and let us know we won’t be making it if its last minute.

As all of you guys know our Beer Pong Tourney is coming up this weekend.   The purpose of this beer pong tournament is to raise money for our football team so next season our total price per player will be down.  If we can’t have sponsors there is no reason we can’t make money through events to pay for the league fees, get nice jerseys, etc.  With that being said I believe we have only a handful of players that are expecting to participate in the tournament itself.  We could use more teams, or even people that could just help us out with preparing, organizing, and running the event.  Essentially this event is for you guys as a team.  If you are not signed up to play and would like to play, I need you to contact me or Eric immediately.   If not, and you would like to help out also contact us immediately so we can set something up for you to help us out with.

If you do come and help us out this will be considered next season when we determine costs for everyone.  We want to reward those who sacrifice time for our team in whatever ways they can.  So if you are not busy this Saturday it would be great if you could come by.  We have the food, beer, etc.  So just bring yourselves and we can figure something out.  Its gonna be a great time all together.  So please contact one of us and let us know.  Or just respond to this thread.  I would like to get some sort of response from every player.

Hey guys,

I just found out that this Sunday is Mother’s Day.  I am canceling practice so you guys can spend time with mothers, sisters, stepmoms, aunts, grandmothers, wives, gf’s, or whomever else may be a mother to someone.  I realize that some of you said you can only make the Sunday practice but I know to some guys mother’s day is important and I don’t want to mess with that.  I just happen to be one of them(people that think its important not a mother ;).  So relax and enjoy family time on Sunday.  We will still have practice on Saturday.  If you can’t make it for whatever reason (assuming its legitimate and not being lazy) that’s cool.  But Saturday is the only official practice this week.

Judging by the lack of response for the party we are throwing for our team to celebrate i’m assuming I will be there alone.  I mean, sheesh.  Did we scare you guys away?  Lol.   Don’t feel pressured..this will certainly not be the first, only, or last time I drink alone.  It would be nice not to have to.  But damn.  Can I get some attendees?  I’ve invited outsiders but this party is about you guys.

We are celebrating the recent team victories by relaxing this weekend.  We are also throwing a shindig at our place in Catonsville on friday.    I’d say around 7-8 would be good.  I’m not sure how many people are going to be there so play it safe and BYOB…just in case.  We’ll play some RB..a little Beer Pong and have some fun.  As far as the Christina,  Georgina, Gregina, and Michelle, crew that drinks more beer in a week than Eric and I finish in a year…even though I get home after work on a monday night and Eric is half naked and piss drunk from playing strip beer pong in the house at 4 in the afternoon.

We’d like all of you guys to make it if we can.  Do me a favor and post on here to let us know who is showing up.  Good job thus far this season guys.  Let’s enjoy this break and have some fun by coming together as a team (this time without the risk of missing games)
