Hey guys this is an event on Facebook those of you who don’t have Facebook but want to play leave a comment here so I can sign you up, here are the details. This will help us raise some money then I will let you guys decide how we will use the money.

$40 per team

Cash pot and prizes will be determined by the number of participants. And a full rule list will be provided as well. Make sure you become acquainted with these rules because we will serve as judges at each game to make sure everything is fair. There will be a 20 team limit so sign up fast. If we get well over 20 teams we will discuss moving the tournament and making it bigger.

Even if you confirm you are coming to the event you will not be put in the bracket for the tournament unless you put a comment with this info. If you do not have a partner but still want to play leave that and we will do our best to match you up with someone.

Hey guys,

First I want to say congratulations on our first win.  It was quite a slaughter and if we weren’t trying new things just to see what would happen that score would have easily been 35-0.  With that being said…we struggled in numbers this past weekend and though some of you had good reasons, we would like to get at least more than half of our team at the games.  Especially games we consider to be must wins.  We did not however, struggle on the field.  We moved the ball extremely well.  More than doubled our total season TD’s.  And had no problem marching up and down the field.  Our defense did struggle in the first game…but its hard to blame it when we had 4 people out of our normal 8 for D.  I’m seeing good things.  And it makes me happy.

This week—

I know its really hard for guys to get out during the week because of jobs, softball, ping pong, or whatever else we all have going on.  Eric is on 3 softball teams.  I play backyard softball with guys from work and I know several other guys are on soccer teams and softball teams.  That’s perfectly fine with us.  But it makes our practices during the week diminish a little bit.  So we are not going to host a practice during the week this week.  However, this Saturday practice will be huge.  We have a couple spots on our offense and defense that are shaky and we have many heads out there that can fill these spots.  Problem is we fill them and then people don’t show up.  So what we are going to do is make decisions on Saturdays.  And consider every spot open when we make these decisions.  This way we don’t have instances like this past week where we are counting on people who don’t show up and being forced to put people in situations they have not practiced.  This will hopefully prevent that.  Don’t think of this as a negative thing.   Think of this as covering all angles because when its all said and done we have to play with the 8 that we have on any given Sunday.

Another thing we are going to prevent.  That is people going MIA at practice Saturday and not going to the games.  When they aren’t out of town.  So Saturday after practice we are inviting each and every one to come hang out with us.  It certainly won’t be like the last party we had 🙂  The purpose is to get you guys together and we can hang out, party a LITTLE…and not get outta control so we can play Sunday.  Also, we can talk football and get everybody up to speed about what’s going on.   Throw some food on the grill and have a good time.  Cause in the end that’s what this team is all about.  We have a win to get this Sunday against a team who hasn’t won a game yet.  we’ll go into our long break with two wins.  Get a win when we come back and have at least a solid streak going into the tournament.  But like I said I want everyone to come hang out and have a chill time.  I can spring for some pizza or we can grill and we can get ready for our game.

I need 3 things from you guys… I need to know who is going to be at practice this Saturday,  I want to know who is going to chill with us afterwards, and I need to know who is going to be at the game this Sunday.  Please respond either way.  We have 21 guys on this team so I need to know where 21 people are going to be.  I’ll start by saying Eric and I will be at all 3.

Hey guys,

Tonight a couple of us from the team are going to be creating our Columbia Cartel Beer Pong Table that will be introduced on Saturday at our party.  (P.S. I hope all you guys are coming. )

However,  I’m gonna be buying some wings and some pizza and get some beer and we will be painting the table and hanging out.  We may even get into talking about plans for the upcoming practice / games.  So this is a good opportunity for us to get some “classroom” ideas in.  You are welcome to bring your plays, opinions, thoughts, or just come by to hang with the team and get some food.

It is at our place in Catonsville.  Its about 10 minutes from the field.  Unless you drive like Eric in which its about 3 minutes away.
